Unlike all the other Beatles he didn't have a chance at education. He spent most of his time sick in a hospital as a kid. Unlike all the others, he didn't know them until later. It just Ringo and his mom, but unlike John's messed up begining he had a stable childhood. He was always looking out for his mother. His mother recalled, "I told Ritchie (Ringo's given name) that Harry (Ringo's future step-father) wanted to marry me. If he'd say no, I wouldn't have done it. But he said, 'You get married, Mum. I won't always be little. You don't want to end up like me grandma,'" (Starkey 145).
